The School operates two fully equipped yachts.  34 South is a Farr 38 design and Donna Mia is an Oyster 395 Lightwave design.  Both yachts are exceptionally good sail training vessels and are regarded as the best equipped school yachts in South Africa.

OUR YACHTS are inspected annually and approved by both the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) and the Royal Yachting Association (RYA).  

All yachts carry a full inventory of sails, including spinnakers, roller furlers and storm jibs.  The navigation equipment includes latest generation RADAR, MARPA, AIS, GPS and Chartplotters.  You will receive training on all of these.

Safety equipment includes liferafts, drogues and sea anchors, in addition to the RYA and SAMSA prescribed safety equipment.

In short, our yachts are some of the most well maintained, best equipped, and safest sail training vessels in South Africa.
