Theory CoursesAll course material, chart instruments, stationery, and everything else is provided to you for the duration of the course. You receive your own RYA course pack which includes a RYA booklet, practice charts, questions, and ultimately your very own course completion certicicate. You will have to bring the following:
The theory courses are quite intensive and include regular homework and after class study. Please note that you need your own accommodation during the Theory courses - we can arrange accommodation for you at St Johns Waterfront Lodge for R100 per night in a clean, neat Dorm room. Practical CoursesPractical courses are all live-aboard courses, and include all meals and accommodation. There are no additional costs for food, or hiring of foul weather gear, or fuel, etc. The course price is all inclusive, other than fees payable to the RYA for the issueing of Certificates of Competence and Commercial Endorsements. You will have to bring the following:
Please note that each yacht has a supply of foul weather gear, although you are welcome to bring your own. There is no additional cost for the use of foul weather gear, lifejackets, etc.
